This non touristic town is located at 45km North of Bangkok. I haven’t managed to find out how many inhibititants there are but it looks like a vast place. A friend adopted her boy here and she asked me to come over to give a present to the nanny who took care of him while he was at the home for babies of this town.

About 300 kids from 6 months to 6 years old stay in this home. Many of these little kids still have their family but they, for differents reasons, cannot take care of them right now. Others are orphans or have been given up. These ones are also waiting for an adoption. I offered my services to this institut for a period of one to two weeks but unfortunetalety the employment of volunteers is only possible for longer periods. The travel guide I use doesn’t talk about this place. I didn’t know what I could do around here. And I am quite to have found the area where is possible to discover many things like temples, a floating market, museums, dream world, waterfalls, etc. This is a great place near Bangkok. The main road is lined by canals with stilt houses and some of these are in bad conditions. There are also many motionless boats which have been changed into restaurants. I liked the atmosphere, the vegetation, and the people. Unfortunatly, within the 7 days I spent here, it has been riaining 3 full days. Now, the weather starts being very hot and heavy.

Cette ville, pas vraiment tournée vers le tourisme se situe à 45km au nord de Bangkok. Je n’ai pas réussi à savoir le nombre d’habitants mais ça me paraît assez étendu.Je suis venue ici à la demande d’une amie qui y a adopté son fils et qui voulait que j’amène un cadeau à la nounou qui s’était occupée de lui à l’institut qui s’occupe des bébés dans cette ville et dont je vais en dire un peu plus.

Le guide touristique que j’utilise ne parle absolument pas de cet endroit, Rangsit. Je n’avais donc aucune idée de ce qu’on pouvait y faire ici. En fait, il y a de nombreux temples que je n’ai vus que de l’extérieur, un marché flottant, des musées, un parc d’attractions, des cascades, bref, de quoi profiter en restant proche de Bangkok. La route principale est bordée par des canaux avec des maisons sur pilotis dont certaines en mauvais état. On y trouve aussi de nombreux bateaux immobiles servant de restaurant. C’est un décor à la fois très vert et très joli. J’ai apprécié l’atmosphère, le décor et les gens. Malheureusement, il aura tout de même plu pendant trois jours sur les sept. Maintenant, il fait très chaud et lourd.
